This is a wonderful cool climate pinot from The South Island region of Central Otago in NZ, boasting a striking balance of subtle fruit flavours and bright acidity. With intense aromas of cherry, ripe blackberry, and blueberry, punctuated by hints of coffee and chocolate notes, the palate is light bodied, full of those bright cherry, raspberry, and cocoa flavours, backed up by some baking spices of nutmeg and vanilla. The mid-palate highlight is a defined earthiness, surrounded by layer upon layer of fine, velvet-like tannins full of toasty oak, creating an irresistibly opulent texture, that flows to a lingering finish. Enjoy this with roasted rack of lamb.
