This medium to full bodied cabernet from The Hunter Region of New South Wales has some of those distinctive ripe blackcurrant and plum aromas that typify this varietal. With further hints of spice, mocha, and tobacco on the nose, the palate has loads more blackcurrant, liquorice, mint, and cassis complemented with integrated toasty oak. The structure is rich and plush with velvety fine tannins giving the wine weight and persistence on the palate. Serve this wine with a plate of antipasto, a tomato based pasta or savoury red meat dishes.
